Meeting with the Consul General of the PRC in Almaty

Kazakhstan-China Pipeline LLP hosted a meeting with the delegation of the General Consulate of the People’s Republic of China in Almaty headed by the Consul General Mr. Zhang Wei. 

In the course of the event the First Deputy General Director of Kazakhstan-China Pipeline LLP Mr. Guo Yi made a presentation about the Partnership’s activity – “Strategic pipeline. Improving prosperity of two nations”. 

In his speech the Consul General Mr. Zhang Wei stated that since the date Kazakhstan gained independence the Kazakhstan-China pipeline is the first strategic project of oil transportation from the Kazakh oilfield to a foreign customer directly without involvement of the third parties. The Consul General emphasized that this pipeline is the first continental pipeline for oil import to PRC. 

Mr. Zhang Wei pointed out that the Kazakhstan-China pipeline has changed the energy market environment in Central Asia and is the pipeline artery for Kazakhstan that transports oil from west to east. 

The Consul General said that establishment of the Partnership produced social and economic benefits for both countries: new jobs have been created, more taxes to Kazakhstan budget. 

Mr. Zhang Wei thanked the Partnership management for hospitality, wished success to the frontline workers who put daily efforts for safe and stable transportation of oil. 

The Consul General wished the Partnership staff success and expressed a desire to provide comprehensive support to the company for its development and achievement of the goal – increase of the Kazakhstan-China pipeline capacity to 20 million tons a year.
